My Mission Statement: God has called me to teach His children. It is by His grace alone that the children in my classroom grow and learn. Through our daily interactions, I pray that my students and their families learn or are reminded that they are precious to our Creator.
Literacy instruction is woven throughout the day. Children in my room get busy actively learning throughout the day. As we live, laugh, and learn in our room, God does amazing things. All messes are mine. All successes belong to HIM. To God be the glory!
1. My name is Laura Patterson.
2. I am a child of God.
3. I married the love of my life, Brad Patterson, in 1992. We share all of life's adventures!
4. We have been blessed with three children - Meghan, Dan, and Jenna.
5. I graduated from Concordia University, River Forest, IL, in 1983, with my Bachelor's Degree in Education.
6. I taught second grade in Chicago, IL for 5 years; kindergarten in Brookfield, WI, for 2 years; and first grade in Wauwatosa, WI, for 24 years. This is my second year teaching kindergarten in Elm Grove, WI.
7. I LOVE teaching kindergarten! I can't imagine doing anything else!
